Sun inside | Μάρσια Ισραηλίδη

Around the walls surrounding her
Are little doors and windows
She hangs some pictures in bright frames
To travel through while indoors

Special places, secret places
Tiny mirrors mingled with the sand
A cave so sacred, hidden places
She discovers paradise in them

Until the sun got stuck inside her head
-harder to handle than you think-
Trembling her hands
Put on the pair of wings she kept under the bed

Her feet no longer touch the ground
She floated higher and sang
Forgetting all this time
The sun.
